This is the mosque where in 1995 a Jewish doctor from New York shot and killed 29 Muslims while they prayed. The Israeli authorities have now divided the building in half to provide a synagogue on the left and a mosque on the right. Buried inside are Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Leah, and Rebecca which makes this a very holy site for all three world religions.
